I am developing surgical techniques for long-term imaging of individual axons and cells in the spinal cord of mice. This work will enable us to track the die back of axons after spinal cord injury as well as study the efficacy of treatments that aim to encourage axon growth. I am currently a Neurobiology concentrator and came to Cornell as a freshmen in Fall 2008 and joined the Schaffer lab in January, 2009.
