Brenda completed an undergraduate degree in Biological Engineering in 2007. She worked on several projects in the lab, including studies of the tensile strength of laser-formed welds and the design of optomechanical components for a two-photon microscope. She began a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University after graduating.
